Tragedy at Wallaroo

Sad day today...we came home to this in the back paddock this afternoon

The Dancing Alien is no more

Orion's Tree is no more

Oh well time marches on in this evolving Universe of ours...and so do the Termites

Have to find another prop now

Mike
Also a good reminder why we need to be careful around old dead trees!!!...and get our homes checked for Termites

You should be counting you're lucky stars it wasn't close to the dome or the house?! Sad to see it gone but.

That is a shame. Dead trees make such great subjects.

Shame. They had character.

I was thinking the obvious as well for a silver lining... at least you have firewood, but you don't have a wood heater or stove? Tragedy alright.

Winter solstice bonfire then, Mike. Invite everyone round to commemorate and remember the trees as you send them off in a blaze of glory and a few ritualistic ales...

Yes, I guess so...I would have been home to see it fall but my wifes car had issues and I had to go out and take it to the mechanics - doh

That's a bummer it came down.

Just leave it there and watch how many Blue Tongues will make a home out of next summer.
