H-alpha Milky Way

Yes, another re-hash.

Before anyone gets too excited about some stellar positions, I used some artistic license by cloning some stars into small data gaps, allowing a larger seamless crop.

Fantastic image and nice and seamless which is the hard part in these mosaics. That is quite a project, you must have been at it for quite a while.

I personally would prefer it flipped so Lagoon is up, just a preference. Fantastic work.

Greg.

Don't say that too loudly.... Astro-photography licences could be next... after all, they already tax the CO2 we breathe out!

Appreciated Greg, Yep it did take a while...but even then I missed a few bits by being time poor, hence stingy on the overlapping fields.

I did get pockets of colour....maybe next year for the Las Vegas version

Nice work Peter. I have a lot of respect for people with the patience to do large mosaics.

Cheers

Thanks Marco... suffice to say John has been very influential with his sublime H-alpha imaging
