Sleeping Giant

Another pic from my visit to Cap Naturalist. With this one Pareidolia tells me that I can see a sleeping giant in the rocks. This is my first time taking nightscape pics under a moon. I couldn't get more than 15 seconds of exposure at F5.6 or it would be too bright.

Full size pic here

Canon 6D, Canon EF 17-40 F4L at F5.6 15sec ISO 3200

Thanks for looking

All the best

Paul

Great pics Paul . I have yet to try some under a full moon. Will keep those settings in mind.Just a question do you find your 17-40 distorts differently. I often find the stars to the upper right in my pics show more distortion than elsewhere.Same setup as yours.

Thanks Derek

These were my first night pics with this lens.. I did notice stars distorting like little triangles in the upper left when set at F4. This disappears at >F5.

Regards

Paul
