Flinders Ranges

Hi everyone,

I've been camping in the Flinders Ranges National Park a couple of times since late April and I thought I should post a few of the pictures I took while I was there. The scenery and wildlife was breathtaking, my photo's don't do it justice.

The first pic in the second post is almost painting like, amazing. The nights must have been awesome.

Thanks for the compliments. Unfortunately I didn't even have room for the ETX in the car after I packed all the camping gear, so I was left with only my 12x50 binoculars. The skies are so dark there it's a great view with just the naked eye.

Top images Jonathon looks a great place to visit and explore, really like the the one with the tracks passing the old building with the mountains/hills and clouds in the background

Thanks Stuart, it really is a stunning part of the world. The picture you're reffering to is looking east towards Wilpena Pound, past a ruin of a building from the original Ghan railway line abandoned over 50 years ago.

Thanks 33South. I took that picture on my way home when I was trying to finish off the roll of film in the camera, there wasn't much thought put into it but it turned out pretty well

Parachilna Pub!

If you want to see some really good pictures taken in the same area have a look at some of Pete Dobre's work, he seems to have a monopoly on all the Flinders Ranges postcards, greeting cards and picture books sold in SA and his work is brilliant.
