Cygnus region.

Hey all, thought I would test out my new skies in Spain and I'm mighty impressed. Now from the backyard I can see a faint lick of the Milky Way which would never of been possible in Belgium.

Anyway I broke out the nifty fifty and polarie and got 54 minutes worth of exposures. I only roughly sighted the alignment hence some slight misshaped stars. Also my flats didn't really work but still it's a better picture than I have managed so far.

Any pointers welcome.

Great stuff.... I wouldn't bother with flats while you are learning....
After trying to get a decent image of a comet in Cygnus last night, I wished I was in Spain....

Thanks Lee, you can see in the link below what the one using no flats turns out like. It moved the gradient to the left.
Without any gradient tools or a relatively simple method in PS to remove it I have decided prevention is the best cause of action in dealing with the gradient. I just need to get it right first.

Comets, now theres an idea.
It was partly cloudy here last night so I had to have a cervaza or two instead.
Hoping it stays clear tonight though.
