Lake Jenolan

Took this one a few weeks back during my drive around the Blue Mountains. The yellow/orange glow on the foreground is from the lights at the entrance of the big arch at the Jenolan Caves. I tried to edit it out unsuccessfuly so I just kept it as it was. I liked the way the branches reflected on the water below.

Thanks for looking.

Great framing. Shame the angle didn't allow for stars reflections in the lake.

I was up there a few weeks ago and got some shots of Platypus in the lake. It's a nice spot isn't it. A walk down to the old power house is good too.

Cheers,
Jason.

Nice shot ! I believe that a wider angle and presence of stars reflections would make the image even better

I like it Carlos, The reflection is great, the light pollution adds warmth. Do you have a higher res version? I'm not sure if you may have pushed the shadows a bit too much or if its compression for the IIS size that has the darker regions looking a little noisy

Thanks Jason Great to hear about the Platypus it would be cool to see the photo. I saw one there the time before last, heard it dive into the lake, I beamed my torch around and saw it swimming just in front of me, my first enounter with a platypus in the wild.

Thanks Matt this is full res on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/ourkind/9255282300/ I too think it's a tad noisy, it would probably look better on canvas than print.
