Trail to the Moon

Sometimes the unexpected happens and that is what I love most about photography. When I setup this timelapse the night before, I wasn't expecting to capture a golden trail to the moon!

Taken in March at Lake Ballard after a cyclone dumped in excess of 100 mm of rain in the region. When I arrived a week later, the water was still migrating across the lake. I captured some timelapse of its movement that I hope to release someday.

Now THAT is a sweet shot. Got something similar last night near St Helens with the moon rising across the ocean.
