Moonshine

Another shot from my travels this week, Hartley Courthouse this time.
I'll include two shots here as I dont want to start too many new threads.

1. Moonshine
This is a shot of the back of the Hartley Courthouse with the moon shining through a window and illuminating the sky behind the building.
This is pretty much exactly the shot that I was aiming for.

2. Hartley Courthouse
Again, Hartley Courthouse, but the front this time.
I love the way that the moonlight and street light illuminate the gnarly branched gum trees, and that in the last frame on the right I got a trail of a car on the road.
There isnt much processing on this image save de-noise.

Canon 7D
18mm, f3.5, 20s, ISO 3200
the first shot is a single shot
the second shot is 6 images stitched

cheers

Hi Alex! Perhaps a little to hard on the de-noise but despite the moonshine you still managed to get a good amount of Milky Way, well done! I do like the court house view with the trees very nice

yeah I do think that there is too much de-noise on that one, but I do like the illustrative nature of the result :-)

And I agree with you, often when I play around with the noise and I take it to the extreme I get that oil painting look which I quite like too
