Jenolan Caves

The Arch in Devil's Coach House, a vast open-ended chamber in the Jenolan caves.

The weather was mostly clear and despite the cold temperatures minimum 1 deg cel, I didn't have any issues with dew on the lenses. I had some disposable warm packs just in case to sticky tape around the lens in the event that it did dew up. I've read this works although I haven't tested it yet.

This was pretty much the shot I'd been wanting to take all night, the Milky Way was positioned just where I wanted it, pure dumb luck on my behalf.

Thanks for looking

Very nice indeed Carlos. Great shot. I can personally attest to the effectiveness of those disposable heat packs. Never really been an issue for me at home but boy, they have been a lifesaver down here in Tas. If I was doing an all night timelapse shoot I would hook up my dew heater strap but if you are moving about taken single night sky shots, that is impractical, and those pads work brilliantly.

Wonderful shot Carlos.

I did a photo shoot of some Jenolan Caves a few months ago.

Thanks Greg! I read about it in the 'Seeing the Unseen' ebook by Alister Ben which you recommend in your FAQ's, very handy thank you!

Thanks Humayun! I bought them in a mountaineering store on Kent St in Sydney, they're $2 for a pair. Let me know how you go online otherwise I'm happy to pick some up for you and post them at cost price

They're branded "HEAT Factory" Disposable Warm Pack 10hrs.

I had a quick look online and they seem to be more expensive than in the store and that's not including shipping! check it out and let me know.
