Open clusters

It's funny how few good images of open clusters get posted. Given how impressive these can be at the eyepiece, it seems hard to translate this over to images.

I've recently tried M6,M7, and M47. I quite like this M7, but that's mainly because of the dark nebulosity to the right. I don quite know how to present/process them to good effect.

[Edit: added N6 and NGC6268]

Nice image, Jonathon-the dark nebulosity does make it an interesting field.

I love these shots and this is very nice. Trying to be helpful, can I make one minor comment? Looking closely, the bright stars are slightly hole punched. But I cant tell whether it is due to acquisition or processing.

Yes, you are right. I've gone back to the original files: the hole punching isn't on the tiff file but is on the jpeg. I'll have a play.
