ETA Carina - STF8300M Test

Hi
I've not posted anything in a while and in the meantime I bought myself a new SBIG STF8300M with OAG (using my STi to guide).

Never used an OAG and this is also my first real LRGB experience so here is my first light with the new setup. One thing I am very happy with is the noticably higher resolution I see in the 8300M compared to my 8300C.

Details
Prime focus using LX200R and Lepus 0.62 FR
40 mins of total data
Maxim DL to acquire and guide
Maxim DL to process

PS: Learning lots about guiding with Maxim - not straightforward and not perfect in this image.

Thanks for looking
Dan

Thanks - I am quite happy with it (and I put the full res image up on my web site www.dancalleja.com ).

I have changed several variables at once though which is never good.

From OSC to LRGB
From external guidscope to OAG
New filter wheel thingy
Maxim DL

So much to learn about!!

Dan
