Mt Buffalo 360 x 195 night pano

While spending some time in Melbourne with my family early Jan, I did a trip to Mt Buffalo to take a 360 x 195 panorama from the top at night. I met up with Greg Gibbs and he kindly helped me lug some gear to the top of the Horn. It was a hot night, so the help and company was much appreciated

Greg's fantastic pano just posted prompted me to post this to provide the fuller view and give others an idea of where the light pollution is/isn't. The night was a bit hazy from fires to the north. The moon is rising lower left. Melbourne skyglow around 3 o'clock and towns along the NSW border at top.

Hi Colin,

another great shot and if I am reading you right it wasn't with a fish-eye lens?

I can see the attraction of the location, even Melbourne is not to great a glow!

Cheers

Ian

A great night under the stars and a pleasure to meet and help you out Colin. A bit of a shame about the hazy conditions but still a great shot Can't wait to maybe see the whole sequence in motion one day.
