Captured last night at Gosford Waterfront, in what may be my first and last glimpse of the Comet before it sinks below the horizon for the Southern Hemisphere and becomes a Northern Hemisphere object from around the 11th March onwards.
5s exposure @ ISO2000, f/5, 55mm with the Canon 6D and 24-105mm lens.
It was a nice naked eye sight, would look even better under dark skies. Couldn't spot it until about 8:03 in the camera zoomed in, and visually from about 8:10pm.
I drove 45 mins SW of Brisbane yesterday evening hoping to get away from the clouds, but was still completely clouded out. Did get a nice (albeit very brief) binocular view of Lemmon and its tail through a gap in the clouds in dark-ish skies though.

Thanks Stephen. I never got a chance to image Lemmon so you're ahead of me there!

Great shot and composition as usual.
ROFL you're right I do like a human element in my astro pictures, I like the sense of scale and wonder it gives.
But a bit of east coast weather fever is certainly possible

Mike, you're going to have to re-do the shot -- you're pointing at the lights on the hills!
Glad to see you managed to capture it before it goes AWOL.

It's just parallax error, H

Lovely shot mate, would look great in a calender.
Glad you got to see/image it, no chance for me due to work commitments.

Glad you capped it before sinking.
Thanks Steve - was hoping for a better foreground but didn't have time to travel out to Long Jetty. Loving the 6D still but really really hate the button placements still.

Thanks Carlos, I agree - like I said above I like having a human element in it.
