Comet Lemmon - 18.01.2013

Hi,

This is my processed version of Comet Lemmon. I used a QHY-9 mono with a Williams Optics Flt 110. I took 10 x 45 sec Luminance and 10 x 20 sec for each RGB. I do not know if my processing technique is correct or even a real photo but this is what I did.
I stacked the Luminance and RGB two ways, one on the background stars and the other on the Comet. I processed each pair by creating a LRGB image based on the Comet and then based on the background stars. Then I did a layered mask so I could bring through the coloured Comet onto the star field with a gaussian blur.
I am happy with it. Comments welcome.

Mark
