Facebook was kind enough to tell me it was Prof. Steve Squyres birthday today. He was my hero - and a huge influence on my early days in Astronomy as a hobby.
I saw him speak at the Sydney Observatory when the rovers Spirit and Opportunity first landed on Mars, and he signed my copy of 'Roving Mars'. I was fortunate enough to interview him for IceInSpace back in 2006.
