It's too hot for anything!

Sean,
Sure was hot. Outside temp gauge went to 46 - it's not quite in full shade.
I was planning to do some AP tonight but at 9pm outside temp was still 36 - way too hot to set up. Hope it's cooler tomorrow night.

Clear skies

Rod

Hi,

In Sydney it was sunny with a cool breeze all day. This was probably most unfair, and I thought of our compatriots in Tassie especially.

Best Wishes for them

Just a traditional summer day in Vic, nothing that unusual for this time of year.

Wudinna in SA recorded 48.2C today, as did Eucla yesterday. Kyancutta had a 3pm reading of 47.5C, but will have to wait until tomorrow for the max temp to be posted on the BOM website.

Had the best of both worlds. Started the day in Sydney, caught a ferry to Circular Quay, train to the airport and flew to Melbourne getting in late arvo.
Sydney lovely, Melbourne hot. Just as well I like it hot!

Currently 33ºc and rising at my place.

We are expecting around 39ºc but I think it will get hotter than that today. I'm on standby with the RFS for anything that may arise but one thing is for sure it's going to be nasty fighting a fire in these temps with full firefighting gear on.

Terrible conditions in Tassie again today, feel very sorry for those affected.
Not a cloud to be seen in Jindabyne this morning, cooled to 17 last night.
Rising rapidly now.
I find it best to close all curtains, cool the stubbies and get ready for the cricket.
