Barnard 33

1 hr 05 min of lights = ISO 500 and 1250 (most at 1250, hence noise).

Vixen Fl102S at f/9. Unmodified/non-cooled Canon 5D MkII. Using 2" adaptor in Vixen 2" step down adaptor.

Shot from my driveway in Light Pollution Central Didn't think I could extract the data, but a LOT of tweaking in DSS and PS brought it out. Maybe some colour cast sill, but it is pleasant to the eyes IMHO. My aim was to keep it more natural looking - to not make it blown-out red like a lot of the renditions you see on the web.

Thanks all.

The data is only a drop in the ocean required for the enormous Barnard 33 and M42 combination mosaic I wish to do. The plan is a MINIMUM of 6 hours data for each - MINIMUM! That may take till next summer...
