The Royal National Park

Took a drive to the Royal National Park this morning, locally know as "The Natio".

Also took some 80mm and 160mm shots of the LMC which I'll post once stacked.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday

Nice wide field Carlos. The dark area above the pleiades at the left of the Orion constellation is the Eridanus bubble I've been trying to image. Looks like there's bugger all in there but plenty of Ha.

Thanks Hugh It was a beautiful night, some fog but nothing serious, I got as far as Stanwell Tops then came back ... I'm seriously considering another venture tonight

Thanks Marc Yep the lens was pointing straight at the Sydney Night Glow, I'm playing around with my new canon EFS 10-22mm lens that I picked up earlier this week. I didn't know about that dark patch "Eridanus Bubble" I'll have to check it out one of these clear nights! Meanwhile I'll keep an eye out for your post

I like the landscape (second) shot. Nice sharp silhouettes and good placement of Orion

Thanks Roger, definately some luck involved i.e. room on the side of the road to pull over and Orion and Jupiter filling those gaps, there's also a hint of the Pleiades on the left but only just
