Lake Moogerah Milky Way

Hi all,

I've been out at Moogerah camping with the family for the last couple of nights, and took the opportunity to try some more Milky Way images with my new Tokina 11-16 lens. Here's the result of a quick processing of a few images. Conditions were fairly windy when these were taken, and there were some bushfires in the area, but I think these turned out OK. The last one shows the International Space Station passing across the galactic centre.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Very nice. You got a winner there with that lens.

Great results Stephen. Funny with a crop sensor you still want wider though You might have to start some panoramas too

Nice shots Stephen. I just picked up one of these lenses. Can't wait to take it to a dark site.

Thanks Mike. I know what you mean about wanting to go wider. Next time I might try a pano.
