Are you intending to use it visually or photographically?
Visually, you may benefit from a neutral density filter to reduce the glare. Possibly an adjustable polarizing filter, which allows you to adjust the amount of brightness reduction.
Some recommend a Wratten #80A Blue to enhance detail. I'm not sure.
For imaging with a mono camera, I find a Wratten #25 R reduces the effects of poor seeing, giving reasonable results even when the seeing is quite wobbly. An IR filter is even more effective.
