Jupiter 26th April - AVI 4 - preview

Well, the avis got better and better, a full analysis to follow later tonight re processing, but here is a resultant stack and wavelet processing with nothing else.

I have now re defined 9/10 seeing for me. This capture on screen was so beautiful to watch, I called my wife down in to the cold. Never been done before!!! It was not 10/10 as it seems like 10 % of the frames of 600, did not have a lovely round and super sharp black disc of the shadow of IO

Usually, the beauty is after processing, but this looked great from the image on the toucam during capture.

My best moment to date.

Wow David!!! And that's a gen-u-ine WOW!!!

I had a check of all the weather maps this morning when I saw your preliminary images and I just knew you'd had some fantastic seeing.

But that's something else. Io's shadow is so crisp and clean, it's beautiful.

Very well done, mate.

Is there any chance you can do another process and push the wavelets a little harder, just as a comparison?

Good on ya David. The great Asimov says that he has had only 3 days that good in the past 12 months. Looks like Tasmania is the place to be for good seeing.

Can't wait for the finished shot.

Dave. That is soooo cool! It's 3D to the degree that it looks like I can reach out to my computer screen and flick Io with my finger

Man, you are soaring!

Just great, can't wait to see the final.

My laptop would take all day to crunch through a 1.5x resample of an image that big!

Tasmania or Rocky - where to move to live!?

Spectacular Dave. Awesome work!

I love all 4 resamples but if I was pushed to choose I'd take the bottom left.

God, I hope to get images half as good as that one of these days

Jeeezzzuuusss!!!!!! David. That's b.....s...... How did you get that. The image scale is mind blowing to say the least. The first one was bad enough but when I opened that first resample .....let's just say I'm glad I visited the powder room before. And then you go and put those next 4 up :swoon:

You're right matt, it does look so 3D it's scary. I was going to go out tonight and give it a go but I think I'll just sit here and drink

JJ Dave. Inspirational mate
