Venus Transit 2004, 2012, Partial Lunar Eclipse 2012

I imaged the partial lunar eclipse on Monday night and managed to get a Venus Transit in between clouds today. Thanks very much to Dave (naskies) for his sending me some Baader solar film otherwise I would not have been able to take the transit today:

Well done Greg. I really like the 2004 transit shot and the lunar eclipse. Pity you had cloud.

That 2004 shot is magnificent! I was chatting to someone today at the ASV event in Melbourne about people capturing planes / helicopters in front of the Sun with the transit, but they'll do well to match yours.

No worries. Too bad about the clouds, but I'm glad that you had the chance to get a shot.

I had a near-miss with a helicopter flying past within 2 degrees of the transit today. So exciting and frustrating at the same time.

Thanks Paul. Conditions were good for the 2004 transit and I imaged all afternoon. The jet flying in near the end was a bonus.

I was in the right place at the right time and ready. Lucky coincidence.

Cheers David. I wouldn't've gotten anything if it weren't for your generosity. Thanks again.

Greg.
