No imaging here, but I spent about 4 or 5 hours at the eyepiece and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Tonight was galaxy hunting night.

I've just covered the scope and am stacking my first image of the evening.
There was a little cloud earlier but it's been clear ever since.
The only thing that marred the evening was the neighbours 2 doors down sharing quite loudly, their taste in country music. LOLOL

LOL. I'm still out here imaging and it's nearly 5am. Can you tell I'm happy with my scope and loving imaging and the conditions at the moment?

niiice. well i fell asleep at about 3am. compture reset itself at about 340am. so i just slewed to a new target.

I have to be super happy that the mount did a meridian flip while i was snoozing picked its guide star back up and continued on imaging. bloody ripper. just waiting to do dawn flats now

Cool. Interested to hear how you handled that flip automatically. Can that be done in Maxim? I usually do in manually.

i uncovered my scope last night brendan with good intentions....... but was wobblier than an ebay tripod from being at my local!
had a few quick goes, decided it was the scopes fault because i couldnt see anything, put the cover back on and went inside ha ha
looking really good tonight though, i will be staying up for the champions league final so i may as well keep company with my scope till then

a tiny bit of luck that a guide star was present in my guiding box. but the rest of it is down to really good polar alignment!

I have Eqmod set to heed mount limits and auto meridian flip. so when it becomes that time, the scope does the flip automatically.

The white ....... urd is pretty accurate with landing pretty much any object anywhere in the sky on the sensor after 1-2 star sync. My FOV isn't that huge either. only in the order of 38 x 54 arc minutes.

Bugger Pat on the wobbletronix. I have a astrophotography night at mine for those who want to learn how to do it so ill be busy busy busy sorting teaching fixing rigging Thank god my system can run autonomously

Hey It's 1;00 am. Just took a heap of widefields and now taking some darks to finish the night off.
Great to see a clear night sky after so long.
The cloud Gods must have seen this thread and have given us a break.

Imaging tonight, working on NGC6357 (more nights needed yet I suspect) and did 3 hours on another fill in target. Got to take every opporunity now to gather data.

Yeah, me too. Been waiting to test out the 7D. Got it just on the eq5 tracking only for a few test shots. Had to make it a quick session because of work in the morning.

We had a clear night up at the ASV LMDSS site. After such a bad day in Melbourne, our faith in Skippy Sky was rewarded.
