Ha, thought about the same thing. You look mean and tough there Warren, even criminalesque (if that was a word).

We will all look like a lot of mean buggers in Novmeber.

Yep .... Cairns, the mean capital of Oz!! Come and see the means streets of FNQ. Perhaps that's why I won't be in Cairns.

Warren, I haven't got my glasses yet but I certainly won't cut a finer figure than you. Oh yeh, and I won't wear a beanie in the tropics.

An American eclipse fan at the 2010 TSE - what the best-dressed nutters were wearing. How 'bout some of these Mike?

Cheers -

Mine arrived too, and they really work far better than I thought.
I love the colour of the disc, and it is perfect the way the rest of the world just disappears leaving just the crisp orange disc of the sun.

I can't wait! We ordered extra in case of interested bystanders.

Do you still have a bunch of these Mike?
I'm considering purchasing 20 pairs and doing an observing session at my daughter's school.

Thanks, I'm going up to the school today to make the offer.
I've planned a setup with two PSTs, a classroom worth of glasses and an ED80 via projection and some pinhole cards for the class.

Hopefully they will take me up on it. If they do, I'll be grabbin some glasses. All of my daughter's various friends have been amazed to look at the sun with them, the current sunspot activity is clearly visible. Interestingly the girls have been way more interested, and asking many more questions than the boys so far.

Nice work Peter, good luck with the school. They'd be crazy not to take it up.
