power tank- for lazy boy

quick question im off to super cheap auto next sat to buy a power pack for my meade meade ls 8", the 600 amp/12v ive got doesnt seem to cut the mustard, i keep on getting-power lost-saving state, now for a power pack should i buy the 1700 amp/12v,i had one before for my skywatcher eq 6 no problems at all but i gave it away with the sale, kind hearted as i am.should i buy the biggest amp available.regards

just buy a 50-100 amp hour battery. I have a power tank and i never use it. It's clunky and just has lots of "gizmos" you just wont need. i only ever take it incase i need to jump start the car. and you can usually get 2 really good batteries for the cost of 1 powertank.
