Reasonable seeing in Adelaide for a change!

Anybody else imaging planets right now?

Seeing in Adelaide has been pretty good - I'd say 7/10 at times. Here's a quick check processing of the R channel of a Mars capture. Looking promising.



Just waiting for Saturn to clear the trees.

Steve, I used to use eyepiece projection, but now I find a barlow (or powermate) easier.

Seeing seems to have dropped off a bit, but still better than usual.

We had an observing night last night the sky was great.
Trevor had to cut it short to image Mars back home.
Great night though.

Good seeing alright! Nice image. Seeing was excellent in Melbourne aswell on Friday morning. Did a sketch, exactly the same side of Mars as your pic.

Kev, I packed it in at 4am after filling the hard drive and being totally eaten by mosquitoes. Will be keen to see what Trevor produces if the seeing was good.

Excellent sketch Mr PGC. I think you had the better seeing. Captures all of the detail visible on the digital image.

Just playing with the processing now, and the clouds come up nicely on the G and B channels.
