What's wrong with this photo?

Visited a regional city in Vic over the weekend and took my two boys to the local science and discovery centre. Couldn't resist taking this photo. And, it was displayed right next to the poster advertising the local astronomy club....

It is a way to minimise dust collecting on the primary mirror.

I'm a little disappointed at the outlay for the exhibit - it seems very tight fisted.
A cheap altaz terrestrial scope and a basic Dob. Flat out 400 dollars all up.
The setup ignorance of course is pathetic.

A Dob and refractor in the same room no wonder the Dob has it's head pointing down in servitude.

Always parked my Reflector that way, less dust on the mirror, shower cap or not, the pic is fine.
The shadow obviously a large print of a scope set up in an open field, hence the grass

Yes, but the shadow the alt-az mount casts is a GEM. Does that count?

Must have one of those naglers (Hand Grenade) in the focuser.
Cause she sure is overbalanced.

Cheers Kev.

The sign states "we now sell telescopes"
Calling the little refractor a telescope is bending the definition a bit.
