focus slippage on Meade APO 80mm

Hello gang, had a good night Tuesday but noticed the weight of my DSLR was pulling the focus out, used the screw lock but then when the temp changed it kept needing re-focusing. It's a 2 speed crayford. I noticed some screw holes/ allen holes on the back of the focuser. Is there any way to 'stiffen' the draw tube without actually locking it, so I can still adjust focus but it doesn't slide out so easily?
it looks like this (the scope)
