All Channel 7 stations bad

Hi all

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having trouble with All of the channels that seven broardcast. Every other channel works perfectly only 7 is not working well sometimes choppy picture and sound dropping in and out sometimes just a black screen I tried retuning, the channel is found but it still doesn't work reliably this has started in the last few days. I did a google and apparently seven has been playing up a lot with people complaining and also saying that all other stations are fine.

The station maybe going through power issues, or the antenna maybe be suss. Other factors like terrain can have an affect including digital.

For antenna, I used to install them a while back I found the lower the freq(channel) the worse it is affected by corrosion too. Channel 2 is always an issue for me. Antenna for TV are a compromise and are tuned usually for the middle reception channel 9 or 10, so other channels are affected.

Mind this was years ago when I installed antennas.

Malcolm is in the same neighbourhood as me and I too have trouble with ABC reception... I vaguely recall we discussed it in-store some time back?
SBS too, depending on the weather. With heavy rain it is Ten that gives me issues.
I keep telling myself I'm going to try a masthead amp/splitter... will get around to it one day!

I would say just get foxtel but there have been more and more commercils. I am finding it hard to hype the pay channels when they are going this way...

Ok engauge rant mode:

Why bother watching in the first place....

I am utterly disgusted with the rubbish thats put on most of the comercial channels.. Most now have several spin off channels, but instead of putting something decent or of interest they have just filled them up with re-runs of 30 year old sitcoms that we've all seen about a million times and were not that good even when they were new..
How about some decent doccos or something educational..
I swear if I see one more spin off cooking show, i'm going to throw a brick at the damn thing... Do we realy want to watch some fat middle aged gay guy struggle to cook a roast chicken, only to then have it judged by an equaly fat middle aged gay guy in a cravat, who's obviously never rejected a single meal in his entire life?? Really? I just don't get it...
If my tv blew up right now i would seriously consider not replacing it at all..

Sorry folks, Rant over...

Cheers
Lee

Having issues with the sound on 7. The sound fluctuates between bad and very bad. Need to turn the sound up to listen to 7 and forget when I turn it over the sound is so loud it wakes everyone in the neighbourhood

Couldn't agree more.

We were at friends place happily watching a very cool doco on prehistoric crocodiles when we were informed we had to watch the news. And who cares about so and so from Una Woop Woop who got a splinter in his finger - GET A LIFE!

Any way, went into the garden and had a wander around and enjoyed the beauty.

Yep I have the same problem and so does my sister ( in a complete different suburb). Dont think It's a power issue at the station.
You would think that swapping over to digital they would upgrade their equipment to accommodate for terrain issues or low end frequency issues.

Sorry don't have a clue about channel 7 (or any other channel for that matter). I haven't practiced watching TV for over 8 years. I agree with Lee. I personally think most of what's on TV is either hype, rubbish or mind washing tactics.
