I'm after a helical focuser for a new project. I've got one source for a 2" helical but I'm wanting to know of other sources.
The one I've sourced is inexpensive and works really, really well. Finding another of similar price and quality might be asking alot, but even a 1.25" helical would be a help.
try peter reid at SDM he has the stellarview one or deal direct with Stellarview in the states good little unit

I use the Baader microfocuser #2458125 on the spectroscope. I also have a Borg #4317.
They both suffer from the same problem. For a normal eyepiece they are OK; for a camera they're no good. Any offset weight distribution (ie DSLR etc) causes them to rotate and change focus!!!
The answer is to drill and tap a M4 thread in the body and use a M4 nylon screw as a friction stop.
I have one of the kineoptics focusers and think it is terrific.
I can't fault mine , its such a simple example of a crayford design
yet its really light and fine focusess as well or better than many of its
competiters.
