Yeah saw that, very tempting, if it had an inbuilt 3G modem I'd jump.

Hmmmm . . . J.B. HiFi in Ballarat had these and other brands (Samsung and HP) of the same size laptop from $310 up to $360 a few weeks ago. Don't know if they still do.

Same as this one I am on now that Doug got for me. Mine is the HP.
Does almost everything I want, but doesn't have a disk drive.
Does crash a lot during Broadcasting as Netbooks don't like doing doing too much at once.

Although, this is my prime Imaging and Live Broadcasting machine

But be aware, the ad says that this particular model is definately a 'Netbook' not a notebook.
Netbooks don't do everything a Notebook or laptop can do.
Netbooks are purpose-built for a limited role, while traditional notebooks are a multi-purpose general tool.

Sorry Eric, just making sure people know that it is a limited machine.
Still a good price though.

Agreed Ken, they are suitable for certain uses and definitely not for others. But they give a lot of basic capability for a low price.

Yes Eric, I do everything with mine:

Surf the Net, DSLR imaging, Star Programs (Cartes du Ciel, Stellarium, etc), Registax stacking, ImagesPlus imaging stacking and processing, PhotoShop CS processing, etc etc etc.

And now I do 'LIVE' Astro Broadcasting, but hard to run anything else when doing this.

So it is still quite a capable machine
