Smile Hello from Buenos Aires!

Hi All,

Good night fellow southern hemisphere life forms!
My name is Luis, I'm from Buenos Aires Argentina, I'm a College teacher and a crazy landscape photographer with a lot of interest in astronomy.

I like taking night landscape shots and I'm working hard to improve on that area. I wonder if I'm ok here as I'm not really an astrophotographer but a night landscaper.

Or something like that...

Anyway I'm happy to be here, the night world seems to circle around the northern hemisphere and I feel lonely sometimes.

Cheers!
Luis

G'Day Luis.

I'm sure you'll fit in here... a lot of us like landscapes!

Besides its only a small step from night landscapes to star trails...

Al.

Thanks for the warm welcome messages!

I do shoot star trails and sometimes I shoot DSOs for fun, I´m still not in love with my workflow in terms of processing but I´ll get better.

Hi Luis, welcome to the madhouse. I do photography as well, normally motorsports and been playing around with scenic panoramas recently.
I will be adding some form of Astrophotography to my viewing soon, they seem to fit well together.

What camera(s) and lenses are you using ?

Checkout Rallyshotz-nz.freehostia.com for some of my stuff.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Brent: I use a Canon 5DII with several lenses from a 15mm fisheye to a 400mm F5.6

willow: Things are fine in BA, the weather is crazy the traffic is even more crazy, lots of people everywhere and our lovely light pollution at night.
Not really a Tanguero myself but I do like Asado, soccer and dulce de leche. 3 out of 4 is enough to retain the passport

I hope you are not too depressed on Argentina being (badly) defeated by Germany.

I'm trying to rationalize that 4-0, it's not easy!

It makes Australia's 4-0 loss to Germany acceptable.
I imagine Maradona's career as coach is over.
