Borg 125ED Apochromat - Rock Bottom Price $2K

I'm looking to sell my Borg 125 ED apochromat refractor. It comes with:

125 ED Objective
Large helical focuser
2" and 1.25" Visual Backs
6*7 format field flattener
Tube rings
End caps

This is a terrific scope for visual or imaging work.

Due to a financial indescretion on the part of my elder boy (dont ask), I'm having to sell this scope off quick. Therefore the price is now reduced from AU$2500 to a rock bottom price of AU$2000 excluding shipping in Australia. Thats a 5" APO for $2K!! This really hurts

Thanks for looking

Lars,

Was this the one that was housed up at Zane's?

If so, it's a beautiful scope; I managed to take some nice images with it! If I had the funds...

Borg history

I'm not sure if it was at Zanes at some time - it probably was. I bought this scope from Shibu last year but have only managed to get limited usage of it so far, the RCOS has been chewing up most of my time.

It is an beautiful scope though

Hi Lars.

Is that the right sample image?
Those spiky large stars look a bit strange. ??

I'd say that these blooms are a product of a non ABG SBIG ST-8i (giveaway at 1530x1020 pixels) hitting saturation, and not the scope misbehaving. Been there, done that with my Taks too!

Blooms

Chris is right, the blooms are from the ST8 and me being too lazy to remove them from this particular image which was really just about showing the FOV and quality of the scope. This image is a Luminance image so this is basically showing how well all the colours focus. with the scope
