And some more – now you get the idea why I cant move in the obs.
Sale Pending - HEQ5 Pro with SynScan Go To – new hand controller just replaced by Skywatcher, Great condition just normal usage markings / slight scratches, Can pack in a EQ6 box, includes 2 counterweights. Also includes manuals etc, New $1499 at Andrews sell for $1000 – Reason for Sale – went up to an EQ6. Please don’t buy this HEQ5 and stick a large telescope on it complain about performance – check the Skywatcher web page re load limits – they are made for small scopes – I used this with a ED120 Black Diamond and a small guide scope but I wouldn’t want to push it much more than that.
Sale Pending - Losmandy GM8 – This mount is over 10 years old – I used it up until about 18 months ago when I went to the new Chinese go to mounts (the HEQ5 was cheaper than the Gemini system), so don’t expect a new Losmandy. There are a couple of cracked plastic knobs and one leg of the tripod is stuck down – the mount still performs but. Has two counterweights (one Losmandy and one made by a fitter and turner friend) – Hand controller is buggered – I used the mount with a ST4 and stored the hand controller resulting in corroded momentary switches so I include the ST4 with this. If you are electronically minded you can replace the momentarys – All up mount + SBIG ST4 Autoguider $1300 – Will separate to mount $1000 and ST4 $300 after a reasonable period – If you want a Losmandy this will be the cheapest ever I suspect. Dont be put off either - this a good mount.
Mounts are at the observatory and I knew if I didn’t advertise now I probably never would. I will post images on Friday when I get out there.
First in best dressed but I would prefer pick up from Tweed Heads area or Leyburn (near Toowoomba) or I could deliver to southern Brisbane area on the way out to the observatory one Friday afternoon. If shipping is required, I will get a quote from Pack and Send down the road from me and then add that to the price.
Pries firm and no swaps required.
