Edge-on or Stratus

Hi everyone,

I have a 130mmx900mm newt and extremely enjoy viewing open clusters but most of my eps have abberation around the edges which is to my disliking when viewing oc's or any object for that matter.

So,i've been around telescope sites looking at relatively low cost eps which have good flat fields and the two best i've come across are the edge-on and the Stratus eps.On the American sites they are quite cheaper but i'm not sure if it would be worth it to ship such a small thing anyway+ i haven't been looking at the currency exchange lately .

The cheapest i've found them in aus is in the bintel shop for $139 for the edge-on and $179 for the Stratus each.

Which one do you think is better?
Has anyone here used one here and can tell me what there like?

Orestis
thanks in advance

You're probably better off with the Stratus, particularly the 13mm. I bought a pair of 19mm edge-on eyepieces for binoviewing and they are very nice for that purpose (small, good image, wide field), but they can't handle fast scopes - terrible at f/5 (outer half of the field was a blur from memory).
