Suggestions for 20, 21 or 22mm Eyepiece

Hi All,

I am relatively new to the forum and I currently have Takahashi LE ED 5mm, LE ED 7.5mm, LE ED 12.5mm and LE ED 30mm eyepieces which I have found to be excellent performers and value.

I am looking for preferably a 20mm eyepiece, otherwise 21mm or 22mm to round out my set(in either 2" or 1.25") (of similar quality to the TV or Tak's)

I have heard some good and bad comments regarding TV Naglers and Ethos with most of the bad comments relating to warmer tones of these eyepieces.

If I cannot find a single 20mm eyepiece I will probably have to default to the Takahashi LE ED 18mm and LE ED 24mm eyepieces.

Any comments and suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

+1 Denk 21mm. $199 + postage is a bargain.

I purchased one of these at the discounted price a few weeks ago and am very happy with it.
Great contrast, eye relief and the batwing allows you to hold your distance from the eyepiece very steadily. It comes in a mini vault which is worth $20 too.

Reviews in the US are very positive and thats comparing them at the price of $299US

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have not come across these before but I have been out of it for a while.

I'll look these up. Are they Japanese manufacture???

Cheers

The Denks are US made and are one of the best at this focal length IMO. They're small and light and have a very comfortable ER

The perfect complement would be a Tak LE 20mm, even secondhand. They are excellent eyepieces.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am pretty sure that Tak do not make a 20mm currently, although I am not sure about any prior ones they may have made, otherwise it would have probably been the first one that I would have considered.

I am currently looking into the Denk 21mm that has been recommended by others here. Although reviews are sparse it appears that the Denk 21mm did outperform some Naglers and Ethos in a side by side shoot-out.

At 1/2 to 1/4 of the price that seems to be great value :-)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. If I dont get any other better options I will probably go for the Denk unit in the next day or so.

Cheers
