Corrector Plate Orientation - Nexstar

Hi,

I have a Nexstar 8i, and despite my best efforts at collimation, it is still not quite there. I have had a look at the front, and when the scope is level horizontally, looking from the front, and the cover plate removed, the Celestron writing is vertical and so is the serial number is this right? I have googled this, and Rod Mollise seems to indicate that it should be pointing to three o clock, which mine certainly isn't.

The question therefore is, is the corrector plate on incorrectly?

Does anyone have a piccy of a Nexstar 8i looking at the corrector plate from the front I can check with?

Any help much appreciated!

Simon
