Aligning with EQMOD and CdC?

Hi!

Several weeks ago, I upgraded my EQ6 with the Synscan upgrade. With the newest firmware upgrade, it is now able to be controlled with the EQMOD. Yesterday I tried it for the first time, and somehow I cant get it to align. If I opened 1 star Alignment, there was a big window, but the accept button was never active. how exactly is this done?
thx.

hello,
you must open the alignment window, selet a star in CDC and do the slew with CDC.

when the mount stops you must center the star using the pad in the window alignment. when the star is centered you accept

That s all folks !!!!

There is another EQMOD alignment method which is called is "Append to list" and it's much easier. You can do it whenever you want by just synchronizing objects in your planetarium software.

Thanks, it works!

I encounter another problem right now... I tried autoguiding with phdguiding. As soon as it connected, the mount stopped tracking... everytime.
Is this a known issue? are there solutions to it?

Give guidemaster a try - it is less resource intensive than PhDguiding.
