.... a similar themed report from NZ some time ago highlighted the fact that some prisoners in their jails are allowed to keep their mobile phones.
One enterprising inmate used his to arrange for a suitably equipped helicopter to hover over the rec yard and drop a rope ladder - which he duly scaled and flew off to a short lived freedom

Once recaptured, the report indicated his punishment included forfeiting just a couple of privileges - including the removal of his mobile phone - but precious little was actually done to deter him and others from doing this sort of thing.
Oh well - I suppose they know best

and didn't seen to fussed about being caught. 
. Makes you think if they had shown the same levels of patience on the outside whether they would have landed inside in the first place. I wonder how much time was added to their sentences as a result.
