Cummon you mighty Leeds

The mighty Whites are trying to get back 15 points deducted at the start of the season. If we get them back we will be in an automatic promotion spot to go up to the Championship.

We were deducted 10 points last year and that helped relegate us. So another 15 this year is going too far. I'm praying the powers that be see some sense and give us the right decision.

The decision is due tomorrow so all you "Leeds fans" out there start praying now.

Sorry, mate.

I'm expending all my prayer energy on getting the mighty Eagles (Crystal Palace) back into the PL

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh...how I miss those cold afternoons at Selhurst Park!

Hi Gazz & All,

Sorry can't support with you there Gazz, being a Carlsile United fan myself (who are currently 2nd in League 1 -- Leeds are 6th), if you guys get the points back it will put you on 85 points meaning we (on 79) drop to 3rd and with 2 games to go, we can't realistically win the automatic promotion _we deserve_ and will be forced into the playoffs for the 3rd promotion spot.

Not good!

Leeds fans should be celebrating promotion today, if not for the unjust and arbitrary Football League penalty.

It's great to hear a few people in this country don't go for the top 4 clubs.
When I first came to Australia in 1986 I never met a Chelsea supporter, now they are comming out of the woodwork. Ha ha

P.S. Good luck to your teams also fellas.

My sisters partner supports Leeds, and even with their fall from grace is still a staunch fan.
I used to do deliveries up to Leeds in early 1971 from Runcorn Cheshire.
I wish them luck
They they surely need it.

I see the other two teams in League 1 who also lost points (10)Luton who are relegated and Bournmouth are struggling to make any inroads in the league, at least we are still in with a chance to go up and survive as a club. The F.A. are making things impossible for clubs who are struggling for finances. It's a sad way for the greatest sport in the history of mankind to start heading.

I'm a Southampton supporter (well someone has to be) and I'm praying that we aren't going to be joining Leeds in League 1. We're 1 point and 1 place above the 'Championship' relegation zone and with two awkward games left we're looking at heading down. Oh, and there is the outside prospect of administration to look forward to, with the mandatory 10-point deduction. The joy.

Yes, and if you don't exit admin in the way the Football League wishes, then you'll be slapped with further 15 point deduction, voted for of course by your rivals in the same league

I find it hard to get my head around your rivals having such a say in how many points you get deducted. Sounds like the inmates running the asylum to me.

Typical

Seems there was nothing in the ruling regarding Leeds actually breaking rules;
just that
a) we'd signed to say we'd accept the original penalty (that or we couldn't play in the league!);
b) we took too long to appeal (no that was the football league that delayed it)
and c) at this late stage it'd be unfair on other teams (the ones that voted and benefited from the decision in the first place).

Richly deserved outcome IMHO.

I STILL remember the FA cup Final replay in 1970 featuring Norman "Bite Yer Legs" Hunter to quote Wikipedea "one of the more uncompromising members of the much hated and feared team of the 1960s and 1970s". In particular I cannot forgive Charlton who kneed and headbutted Peter Osgood or when Chelsea's goalkeeper Peter Bonetti was injured after being bundled into the net by Leeds' Jones.

Oh yes richly deserved.

Yeah you are right the ones who were injured were Chelsea players.

The fact is is Leeds were a dirty team I do not think the club culture has changed just management dirty tricks these days.

Justice is a little late but what goes around comes around. Enjoy your rewards.
