Hi Pete,
Optics are good and have never been touched.
The 1.25 diagonal is the crappy Celestron kit one and not the best.

Forgot to mention it also comes with an Orion dew shield

Wondering whether it is still for sale and whether it is possible to fit any type of goto technology (yes I am bit lazy) to a scope such as this?

The only way to fit go-to would be to remove it from the fork mount and pop it on an EQ mount. I'll throw in a dove tail if anyone wants to do this.
