Getting There

Hi All,
Stayed up to try again last night. Seeing conditions were terrible. It was like looking down a bitumen road with a temperature of 50degrees C.
Anyway processed an Avi of about 600 frames in Registax and came up with this.
Cheers,
Duncan
Ps. Point and shoot camera ( I've nicknamed it "El Cheapo",LOL)

Just a question, Duncan, or whoever wants to reply...

In the image above, in that massive crater near the bottom of the image, there are tinier craters in it, too. What size are they? How large/small? Just trying to get the size of the image and the actual size into perspective in my head.

Thanks.

P.s. I think it's a pretty good image for a point n shoot camera.

The main sea is Mare Crisium with Craters Peirce and Picard (right & left in upper half of Mare ). Crater Langrenus is at lower left corner of image.
Crater Peirce is 19km across and Picard is 23km across.
Information came from

Looks like a great site.
Cheers,
Duncan

Hey Doug,
If yo were up here last night you wouldn't have bothered. It really was that bad. Having said that i've seen it good up here and know what a point and shoot will do if conditions are favourable
Cheers,
Duncan
