Looking forward to it.
Hopefully the fog won't move in, making visibility <3metres, like last Saturday night. If you can't see 3 metres away, 350 million light years is not looking good....

Rod the 3 metres fog doesn't sound good but the 350 million light years has a nice ring to It

The weather report (for what they're worth) on the radio was that it would be fine Friday and Saturday with the possibilty of some rain late Saturday night or Sunday. Lets hope it stays clear long enough to get a good nights observing in. Mar's presents at its largest angular size on Sunday 30th (although opposition is on 7th November), so hopefully the air will be clear and steady for some Mars and DSO viewing.

I got in some great viewing last night, just in case the weather turns foul on Saturday. I did lots of double star splitting, which was great fun, and soooo easy with the GOTO. Looking forward to some more on Saturday night. John, I might show you some of my favourites from Phoenix, which I studied last night, as I know you share my interst in doubles.
