Hi Jeremy
I'm quite interested in the RC10
I live near Bli Bli SE Qld and have been passionate about telescopes most of my life. Just a few questions:
What is the weight of the telescope and can you supply any more info eg Is this a GSO scope and how old
Thanks
John

Hello John.

It weighs about 16kg's. It is a GSO scope and I am not too sure how old it is.
I am not the original owner but I have had it for about 5 years.
Optically it is in good condition, no problems. I have had the mirrors out to clean twice.
As per the photo's in my original post the tube does have some marks on it.
Thank you and please PM me if I can help further

Jeremy

Thanks for info

This is the first time I have actually used this iceinspace forum so am not sure how best to see your replies. I just happened to notice that you replied when I revisited your ad.

I am still interested. I have a 1998 model Meade LX200 10" F6.3 on a new EQ6R Pro so am used to the weight. The image quality is my main concern as I am getting some curvature of field and coma in corners of an image.
I tried a GSO Coma corrector but just got chromatic flaring on all stars so am giving up with that idea
Do you believe the RC10 will be ok of the EQ6R ...ok what are your thoughts but I understand that you want to sell it.

Best Regards
John
PS The 2 images you supplied are very sharp across the field - They are infact superb. Do you have any more images?

I think by the time you add camera, guiding etc it will be too heavy for imaging for the EQ6R. It will work but I think it is very borderline.

I will send you a PM (Private message) with my phone number if you would like to call and discuss.

Thanks
Jeremy

Thanks for your reply
Yes I agree, the weight does concern me.
My Meade OTA weighs in at 13.5 kg I am using a SVbony 60mm guidescope which is heavy and currently I just use a Pentax DSLR for fun but results seem ok
I'm still interested

Thanks for supplying your number
