Hiya Grant,

Depends on your platform (Windows / Mac / Linux) and whether you want to control everything from a laptop, Raspberry Pi (or similar mini-computer) or head down the ASIAIR path.

If you're not so technical / IT-savvy, then the ASIAIR all-in-one device is probably your best option. (Although it will tie you into the ASI / ZWO device family.)

Plenty of people use Windows and NINA or AstroPhotographyTool. I use a Linux laptop with Kstars/Ekos to drive all my imaging equipment.

Cheers,
V

What do you want the program to do. Capture? Processing? Something else? Are you looking for free software or willing to pay?

I seem to be asking you a lot of questions today, but before investing any time or money you really need to decide what it is you really want to do in your astronomy journey.

Cheers,
Mark
