With the bridge down the bottom of the hill underwater, grass growing so fast you can hear it, and the ground holding pools of water even in the rare sunlight, it was no surprise the the humidity in my dome was now a constant 99%.
I found a patch of mould growing on the inside of the 9.25 SCT, as well as general grunge, so I've bought it, the 80mm, the cameras and the Mak down to the house for a holiday.
Took my heart in my hand and removed the collector plate for a clean.
I figured, since I'd have the front ring off anyway, why not get a nifty new Celestron ring dew heater? Solve future problems, etc.
None in stock...
Expected in March, maybe...
so, I went ahead, did the clean, reassembled everything and put the stack of gear back together foe aligning, etc, yesterday.
Only to get an email from Bintel today to say the dew heaters were now in stock and did I still want one?
I ordered it immediately.
Also, naturally, the QHY camera and filters I've been waiting weeks for got sent by them day before yesterday, so I'll face an extra $20 postage.
No wonder the AP guy smiles when I come into the PO!
