Just for kicks - afocal Jupiter

While doing the moon eclipse shots on Sunday night, I decided to try a quick afocal shot or two of Jupiter.

I can tell you, I don't miss doing it that way! The webcam with a dob, as frustrating as that can be, is better and easier than afocal (for me at least).

This shot is the result of 3 images stacked in registax, only very mild wavelets.. no other processing.

- 10" dob with 9mm GSO plossl
- Afocal Sony DSCP100 on a fixed camera tripod pointing into the eyepiece
- ISO400, 1/80s shutter, f/2.5

I wouldn't call it a good image, it was really just an experiment I'll stick to webcam I think
