M104 - Sombrero Galaxy

Dear all,


This is my try with the Sombrero Galaxy.



Telescope: SW Esprit120ED
Canon 6D, unmodified
Lights+Darks+Flat+Bias
Processing in Pixinsight

The galaxy itself looks great Fernando, but the bright background is a problem. Maybe a Background Extraction or a Levels adjustment could tone it down?

I used your image posted above and did a simple Levels adjustment in Photoshop - gets rid of the bright background and makes the galaxy stand out more.

thanks for all your comments. Makes all sense to try to get the background less bright. I will try to do that in Pixinsight.
