Expression of Interest

G'Day
I just want to get a idea of how much interest (if any) would there be in buying a 18"Truss DOB F4.5 telescope, I imported this scope from the USA back in 1990,It was used a lot at Ilford up until about 1994 and has only be used a few times since, it has been keep in a Cabin at the back of the house and been well looked after , if there is any interest I will get it out of the cabin and take a few pics and post them here. But because my m8 has been using the cabin as his own furniture storage unit until his new house is built,it may be a week or so before I can get at it in the mean time if anyone is interested please let me know.
Thanks
P.S Sorry I should have said that I'm in Woy Woy on the Central Coast NSW

I was asked by a member who did I buy the Telescope from, so I looked up Sky & Telescope and found the add on page 315 September 1989 it was
Sky Designs
4100 Felps #C.
Colelyville
Texas.76034.
I will track down the receipt and the instructions that came with the scope,as soon as I can get into the Cabin

You might get some replies if people know what $$$ you are talking about.

I'm still interested (sorry I haven't responded to your PM yet), but I just can't afford it right now.

I'm saving up for an EQ6

For those who are interested in this telescope I can say that this is a great instrument. Nightsky and I used to observe together for many years and I can say that the scope has a great Mirror and delivers impressive views. For a large telescope it is easy to moove and quite compact.
A great Telescope

G'Day Mike,
I don't want to be forced into a price and end up with egg on my face if I can't deliver.I would prefer to check every thing out before hand, see if it's working etc,and what will be included. Then I'll say what I would like sell it for, even to give a "ball park $ figure" may be unfair to the buyer.

i know what you mean but people won't venture much interest until they know your price as it may be way out of their reach. if you gave a price I'm sure you'd get a few bites.

I should have stated this in my original post and apologise if anyone has been mislead. This is a large scope and would be impossible to post so it would be "pick up only" and I should also state that when I work out what will be included etc and put a price on it,it will be "try before you buy".
