saxon 10/1200 Dob

Can anyone post some good pics (Lunar, Planetary, galaxies?) of what I can expect with a 254/1200mm Saxon dob? (Its not collapsible. Looks exactly like Skywatcher)

I will be getting this scope, I hear its good. I'v seen some youtube vids and its impressive. I can't wait!

Maybe even in the equipment discussion section.
But let me welcome you to the forum.
What can you expect.
Disappointment...because it will arrive and so will the cloud cover...however when you do get to look at some objects you will be blown away as you have purchased one of the best scopes money can buy. In time you may want something bigger but only a few ever want a bigger scope.
Please share your experience with all of us and how you sort thru the initial difficulties.
Good luck.
Alex

I have a good friend ( who is a member here) with the SW version of this and I can say without a doubt , its th best Newtonian I have ever looked through , even at it's short focal length it managers' stupid high power {500xplus) on good nights , it's a pearler .
You really can't go wrong with one of these , unless its a lemon but easy to replace if that happens.
Brian.

I bought this scope because I liked the 8" collapsible version so much.
Although they say it's a minor upgrade I can start to see some colour in
Orion Nebula, can't wait until the moon goes away!

Here is a Field of View calculator to give an impression what you're in for with your barrel and eye pieces. Congrats!!!

It's only faint but there is a definite tinge of green to my eyes
Looked at Tarantula nebula in the LMC last night and the loops of nebulosity are more apparent than with the 8" - I'm really happy with this scope.
